4 days after resignation, 11 APC govs storm Adamu’s residence
Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who resigned as the All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman on Sunday, has received visits from eleven governors who are party members.
Senator Hope Uzodimma, the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), escorted the governors to the Abuja home of the former governor of Nasarawa State.
Governors from Katsina, Ebonyi, Sokoto, Niger, Gombe, Benue, Jigawa, Imo, Ogun, Kebbi, and the acting governor of Ondo State were among those present at Adamu’s residence.
The governors visited Adamu’s home for approximately an hour, pleading with him to continue supporting the party.
According to a source at Adamu’s home, the governors took turns praising the former national chairman for “taking a bow” on behalf of the party.
“They thanked him for leading the party to success at the presidential and governorship elections in many states. They told him that they are the products of his success during the general elections,” the source said.
In response to inquiries, Adamu acknowledged entertaining the governors and claimed they came to recognize his leadership.
