Road traffic accident kills Chika Okafor, others in Anambra

Chika Okafor, the older sister of Ikechukwu Okafor, the media assistant to former aviation minister Chief Osita Chidoka, passed away at the age of 51.
In a statement, Okafor claimed that his sister perished on Saturday, August 12, in a deadly car accident that happened along the Abatete route in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to him, only the driver survived the single collision, which involved a commercial Sienna bus operated by Onitsha South Mass Transit.
The statement reads in part,
“With a heavy heart and great sorrow, I announce the passing of my dear sister Chika Okafor.
“She died in a fatal motor accident that occurred along Abatete Road in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, on Saturday, August 12.
“Chika was my only sister. And the unfortunate incident left a huge pain in our hearts. She died at the age of 51.
“We pray for God’s mercy and grace upon her and those left behind to mourn her.
“Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.”
