Bola Ajiboye, the wife of Pastor Johnson Ajiboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has been released from captivity.
She was freed by her captors on Wednesday after they received the N1 million ransom and food, according to trustworthy sources who spoke to Platinum Times.
However, according to the sources, a person who was going to provide the meal and the ransom was apprehended after delivering the items.
At Elerinjare village, close to Idofian town, in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State, Mrs. Ajiboye was abducted on Thursday night.
One of her daughters luckily managed to escape during the operation at her home amidst intermittent gunfire.
In response, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, spokesman for the State police command, texted the Daily Post, “I don’t have any comment on that for now please.”
