Tension as Man loses manhood in Calabar after handshake
A mob had assembled to lynch two after one man, who pleads to remain anonymous, said that his penis and testicles had vanished. The police have just arrived at the site.
In Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, the event just happened at the roundabout between Akai Effa (MCC Road) and the GoodLuck Ebele Jonathan bypass road.
Witnesses at the scene claim that when the man noticed his penis was missing, he quickly raised the alarm, took off his pants, and was horrified by what he discovered.
“What he saw was smaller than a grain of rice and there were no testicles too,”
Jeremiah Archibong, the Board Secretary of the Association of Cross River Online Journalists told newsman over the phone after he called the Police to intervene on the matter.
“The Police have since arrived and calmed the situation,” Mr. Archibong added.
In Calabar, there have been more instances in recent weeks of male genitalia seemingly dissipating following handshakes.
An identical event in the Nyanghasang village of Calabar Municipal prompted a police raid that resulted in community retaliation. An entertainer named Kandy Umoh was among those detained, and a police truck was also damaged.
Even though Mr. Umoh and a few other community members were eventually released, almost two dozen others were charged and remanded to the Medium Security Custodial Center in Afokang.
A similar occurrence happened at night around a fortnight ago in the vicinity of the University of Cross River State’s Main Campus’s entrance at Ekpo Abasi Junction.
