155 stranded Nigerians in Libya arrives Lagos
In partnership with the federal government, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) repatriated 155 Nigerian irregular migrants who had become stranded in various parts of Libya.
This is according to a statement made by the International Organization for Migration on Wednesday in Lagos.
The returnees arrived late Tuesday evening at Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos on board an Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800 with registration number 5A-DMG.
It went on to say that of the 155 returnees who came, 125 were ladies, 22 were males, and eight were infants.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said that officials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Port Health Service, the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRM), and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) were at the airport to greet the returnees.
