Tribunal Verdict: Tinubu support group backs Gawuna
The Tinubu Support Organization (TSO), led by Alhaji Aminu Suleiman, characterized Alhaji Nasir Gawuna, the APC Gubernatorial candidate in the March 18 election, as a true man of the people on Sunday.
Suleiman said in Abuja that the APC Gubernatorial candidate for Kano was a man whose excellent leadership qualities had won him the support of Kano residents.
The creator of TSO, who congratulated Gawuna on his victory at the Kano Gubernatorial election tribunal, called it a victory for democracy.
He added that Gawuna has deservedly etched his name in gold through his many years of kindness to the people.
“Gawuna is the Kano people’s bride any day, any time, and this is why we are overjoyed with the tribunal’s decision.”
“He is a formidable force to be reckoned with not only in Kano, but throughout the country,” he remarked.
Suleiman praised the tribunal judges for standing firm on the truth without fear or favor.
He praised the decision as a tribute to justice that could not be smothered.
Chief Franklin Ebere-Njoku, the group’s National Spokesperson, also praised Gawuna’s tenacity in recovering his mandate.
Ebere-Njoku exhorted him to keep putting smiles on the faces of the oppressed, which had propelled him to greater heights.
As a result, he urged Kano residents to continue to support him, claiming that he possessed the “magic wand” to turn the state around.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Kano State’s March 18 governorship election was proclaimed the winner by the tribunal.
On Wednesday, the tribunal fired Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf and deemed Gawuna the rightful winner of the election.
The three-member panel ordered the issuance of a Certificate of Return to Gawuna and the revocation of a Certificate of Return to be handed to Gawuna.
It noticed that 165,663 ballot papers were not stamped or signed, rendering them ineligible, and deducted the 165,663 votes from Yusuf’s total.
