Oluseyi Ehinmodupin’s appointment as new Obanla of Ipao gets Ekiti govt. approval

The Ekiti State Government has confirmed Prince Williams Oluseyi Ehinmodupin’s nomination as the new Obanla of Ipao Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of the State.

The clearance was part of the State Executive Council’s decisions on Wednesday, according to the State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, who made the announcement in Ado Ekiti.

He stated that the appointment was made after receiving clearance from the Ministry of Justice, and that it was in accordance with the requirements of the Ekiti State Chiefs Law Cap C5 Law (2012).

Olatunbosun also stated that the appointment has been authorized for publication in the state gazette as a legal notice.

According to the Commissioner, the council also approved the renovation of the Agricultural Farm Buildings (Phase I) at Erinfun, along the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti/Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) road, which serve as the State’s Livestock Investigation Centre (LIC) office and trainee accommodation.

He noted that the colonial administration built the facility over 60 years ago, and that the structures had become very dilapidated due to long use without repairs and proper maintenance, while the staff quarters had become inadequate and needed to be remodelled to resuscitate the founders’ vision and the essence of establishing the facility.

He stated that the government’s approval to renovate the facility was based on its potential contribution to the achievement of the Biodun Oyebanji administration’s developmental agenda, which includes youth development and job creation, human capital development, agriculture and rural development, infrastructure and industrialization.

According to him, Phase I of the project would consist of renovating/remodeling the 5-block trainees’ housing in six weeks, while Phase II will consist of renovating/remodeling the farm officers’ lodging, stores, training courses, and offices.

He pledged that the state government will continue to enact policies and carry out people-centered projects in order to foster the vision of the state striving toward shared prosperity.
