Friday saw the swearing-in of 20 commissioners and 22 special advisers into the cabinet of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Following the Ogun State House of Assembly’s confirmation, the appointees were sworn in at the Obas Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Abiodun considered creating new ministries to add more personnel to his cabinet but chose not to reveal the portfolios of each appointee before the swearing-in event.
The governor gave them instructions to get ready for the difficulties ahead and to view their appointment as a special privilege and a call to duty shortly after the appointees took the oath of office.
Abiodun urged the cabinet members to always stay focused on their responsibilities and to conduct themselves professionally.
To accomplish the objectives set by his administration, he exhorted them to cooperate as a team.
“You new commissioners and special advisers have been chosen and found worthy among many others. You must see your appointments as a clarion call to continue to render selfless service, dedication, cohesiveness, inclusivity, and visibility with the new team.
“You must always have it at the back of your mind that your appointments are opportunities to prove your mettle,” the governor advised.
