Bandits storm Bauchi community, kill NSCDC officer, kidnap one

A member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was killed by unidentified gunmen in the Burra District of the Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

In addition, the gunmen assaulted Rawul, a Fulani village nearby Gamji village, where they kidnapped one person.

According to reports, the event happened last Thursday.

According to village sources who talked with the Platinum Times, the unidentified gunmen ambushed the civil defense worker after he left his job station to relieve himself.

The NSCDC employee, who was a member of the local security agents, was killed at Gamji village, according to the caretaker chairman of Ningi LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Zubairu Mato.

He claimed that “the gunmen killed Inspector Haruna Mohammed, a security guard, when he went to relieve himself outside the duty post, and made off with his gun, a G-3 model.” The security guard who was killed was a Fulani.

When approached, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakili of the Police Command only said, “Contact NSCDC PRO, please.”

Additionally, DSC Ibrahim Abubakar Gabdo, the PRO of the State Command of the NSCDC, did not reply to mails left for him.
