Dead body of 7-year-old recovered by Fire Service from well in Kwara

The dead body of Abdul-Haayi, a seven-year-old boy who fell into a well in Ilorin, the state capital, was recovered on Monday by the Kwara State Fire Service.
The sad event happened at approximately 5:28 p.m. in the Yaa-Lateef House, which is located on Tinu Street in the Akerebiata neighborhood of Ilorin, in the state’s Ilorin East Local Government.
A certain Mr. Idowu, who lived in the neighborhood where the incident happened, called the fire department.
The fire department’s spokesman, Hassan Adekunle, claims that after extracting the deceased person’s body from the well, the firemen gave it to Mr. Yussuf, the deceased person’s relative.
According to reports, the victim slipped and fell into the well while going to the well to get water.
Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, the Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, conveyed his sorrow over the occurrence and asked people to exercise greater caution in their daily lives. He also advised against sending young children to retrieve water from household wells.
