Usman Baba Pategi, also known by his stage name Samanja, a veteran Kannywood actor, has died.
After a protracted illness, the popular Kaduna-based Hausa actor died on Sunday morning.
He was a retired soldier and a former employee of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria’s (FRCN) Kaduna national station.
Samanja left behind two wives and 14 children.
On Sunday, he was buried according to Islamic customs in Kaduna.
