Demolition: Stop turning Nigeria into an open-air prison for Igbos, hold a Biafra referendum’ – Ejimakor tells FG, Lagos govt

On Monday, Aloy Ejimakor, special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), said that those who want Igbo to leave Lagos State or Nigeria should hold a Biafra referendum.
Posting on X, Ejimakor wrote:
“If you want Igbos out of Lagos or Nigeria, stop #demolishing their properties; that’s cowardly. Instead, do a referendum on Biafra and brace for the resounding result. Until then, stop turning Nigeria into an open-air prison for Igbos. From the pogrom to now, Igbos have had enough.”
According to reports, the Lagos State administration is targeting and demolishing Igbo-populated markets. Furthermore, there are widespread reports that the state administration is demolishing Igbo-owned buildings.
Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike was among those affected, claiming that his house was demolished by the Lagos State government despite receiving consent from necessary authorities.
