Fulani leader who went missing found dead in Plateau State

In the Jokom hamlet in Mangu town, in the Mangu local government area (LGA) of Plateau state, an abandoned well contains the body of Umar Ibrahim, a leader of the Fulani tribe who had gone missing.
It was learned by Platinum Times that the leader went missing on Wednesday.
The deceased was the state’s Ciroma from the Kumbun district in the Mangu LGA.
Captain Oya James, the spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, a security group tasked with upholding peace in the state, verified the occurrence.
The dead went missing on Wednesday when he left a hospital to fetch food for his ailing wife, who was admitted, according to the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN).
According to Garba Abdullahi, the state chairman of the group,
“He visited his wife at the sickbay in Mangu. Around 6pm of Wednesday, he went out to buy food for her but couldn’t not return. After searching for four days , the body was found in an abandoned Well close to the hospital. The corpse was recovered together with soldiers attached to Operation Safe Haven who have been maintaining peace in area.”
“We are calling on all our members to remain calm and never take laws into their hands. We should continue to be law abiding. The security agencies are doing their best. We are calling on the security to do fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act and bring them to book,” the chairman said.
