Tension as Bandits assassinate 10 in Taraba community

Ganfeto town in Daka ward, Bali Local Government Council, Taraba State, has been shaken by violent attacks that have claimed ten lives.
At the time of publishing this report, the neighborhood was still reeling from the shock and in mourning.
Usman Abdullahi, the spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, confirmed the tragic news in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday in Jalingo, the state capital, where he claimed that the fatalities had yet to be identified.
He also stated that the assailants had not been proven to be bandits.
According to Abdullahi, the assailants, masked in vigilante garb, intentionally targeted Fulanis in the village’s market, resulting in brutal executions on the outskirts.
Abdullahi told reporters that “investigations indicate that those killed were from the Juldel group, a vigilante organisation.”
There are suspicions that the culprits are members of another vigilante group, and their identities are unknown.
According to Abdullahi, “one complication is that nobody has claimed the corpses of those who were killed.”
The police spokeswoman emphasized the importance of determining the names of both assailants and victims.
The police leadership, on the other hand, has assured inhabitants of Bali Local Government Council of their safety and urged them to go about their everyday lives.
Abdullahi concluded by stating:
“We are working tirelessly to identify and apprehend those behind these heinous acts. Our commitment is to ensure the safety of lives and property in the village and the council at large.”
