Kaduna bombing: There’s disunity among security agencies – Gov Sani
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has stated that Nigeria’s security authorities were not on the same page on the Tudun-Biri community’s mistake bombing.
He encouraged the Senate to help ensure that the survivors get justice.
Senator Barau Jibrin, who represented Senate President Godswill Akpabio on a condolence visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna on Sunday, made the remarks, according to the governor.
Governor Sani promised that the Kaduna State Government would continue to assist security agencies in carrying out their constitutional duties.
He urged that the Army conduct an immediate inquiry into the error attack in order to bring the offenders to justice and put a halt to future error attacks elsewhere in the country.
He also restated his previous requests for a state police force to bolster existing security measures.
In his remarks, Jibrin announced that senators’ salary would be donated to the Tudun-Biri community. He also expressed regret for the Tudun-Biri community’s erroneous attack.
Among those following the Deputy Senate President were Senators Ali Ndume, Lawal Usman, Abba Moro, Opeyemi Bamidele, Naziru Yar’Adua, and others.
They visited the injured victims at Kaduna’s Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital to express their condolences.
