Bode Olagoke, a popular Abuja-based journalist and Deputy Online Editor of Blueprint Newspapers, has been awarded the AUTHENTIC Reporter of the Year Awards for the years 2021 and 2022.
The plaques for the prizes were presented to him yesterday in Abuja by Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, Consulting Editor of Authentic News Daily.
Bode Olagoke, who is also a known media consultant and publisher of the Discoverer Nigeria, was described as a focused journalist who has positively contributed to the development of the nation and journalism when the plaques were presented to him at a brief ceremony attended by several top Abuja-based journalists.
“This is the first time in the history of the awards which is in its 8th edition that a journalist is winning this award not just back-to-back, but twice.
“We are optimistic that this recognition will spur you on to doing more for the profession, your community and Nigeria,” Okpani Onjewu Dickson said.
In his response, Olagoke who holds a Master Degree in Media Arts, thanked the management of Authentic News Daily, a publication of Jatuski Communications for the recognition.
He assured that the awards will always remind him that hard work pays.
“I am excited by this award. This is a motivator that will keep me on my toes to improving on who I am today,” he said.
