10 confirmed dead, 7 others injured In Lagos-Ibadan expressway auto crash

Ten confirmed deaths and seven verified injuries have resulted from a horrific truck and bus collision on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

On Tuesday, at approximately 5am in the morning, an accident happened close to the Kara turn on the freeway.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reports that the bus driver lost control of the vehicle due to speeding and collided with the truck.

The accident included eighteen people in total: seven injured, one unharmed, and ten confirmed dead.

The deceased were interred in Idera Morgue in Sagamu, while the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe for medical treatment.

Anthony Uga, the FRSC Sector Commander, expressed his sorrow over the occurrence and underlined that it was preventable had the driver taken the appropriate safety measures.

In order to stop more road tragedies, he advised drivers to take regular breaks every four hours and emphasized the significance of safe driving techniques.
