Gov Nwifuru announces N100,000 Christmas bonus for Ebonyi Civil Servants
The statement was made at the 'Renewed Hope Initiative Christmas Party' on Thursday, during which the governor underlined his dedication to employee welfare.
Governor Nwifuru has stated that every worker must be paid 100,000 naira.
In a similar action to that of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has declared a Christmas bonus of 100,000 naira for every state employees.
The statement was made at the ‘Renewed Hope Initiative Christmas Party’ on Thursday, during which the governor underlined his dedication to employee welfare.
“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, I have resolved with the caucus and also the principal officers of government yesterday when I came in that every worker in Ebonyi state government—not local government,” Governor Nwifuru remarked.
“I’m not in charge of local government; I’m meeting with the council chairman this evening.” “Every worker must receive 100,000 naira from us,” he declared.
This follows a similar gesture by Governor Fubara of Rivers State, who approved a N100,000 incentive for each civil official throughout the state’s many ministries, departments, and organizations.
Surprisingly, this is a major event for Rivers State, as it is the first time in a long time that civil officials in the state will receive such large Christmas bonuses.
Governor Fubara’s persistent attention on boosting civil worker welfare and meeting the needs of low-income earners is echoed in this significant holiday gesture.
