Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK.
Governor Abdullahi Sule made the appointment.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma-Aliyu, in a December 18 formal statement in Lafia.
Mrs Mary Enwongulu, a former politician, and Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi Kore, a former Secretary to the State Government, are also members of the Governing Council.
Mr Thomas Ari Ogiri, a former Head of Service, and Dr Ahmed Gero are also members of the council.
The message also noted that the Governing Council’s ceremonial inauguration would take place in due course.
