A hit-and-run driver killed three women in Gboko Area of Benue State.
According to witnesses, the event occurred Wednesday evening while the victims were standing along the new road in Gboko town.
According to reports, the driver of a black Highlander car went off the road and collided with the three women.
The driver is said to have fled with the vehicle, while the victims were brought to Baki clinic in Gboko, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
Arc Oladele Meshach, the State Command’s Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), sent our correspondent to officers working in the area who confirmed the occurrence.
According to FRSC officials, it was a single accident that occurred after the driver ran into the victims at the roadside, killing them.
“As of this morning (Thursday), the driver of the vehicle has not reported himself to the police,” the road safety official said.
