BREAKING: Security operatives teargas 16 sacked Plateau PDP legislators

On Tuesday, armed officers teargassed the 16 Peoples Democratic Party members of the Plateau State House of Assembly who had been dismissed by the Court of Appeal.

The MPs and their supporters had arrived at the Rayfield Old Government House in Jos on Tuesday morning, preparing to resume plenary, when the event occurred.

Police and other security personnel took over the Government House and blocked the fired MPs from entering the House of Assembly chambers, but the lawmakers refused to leave.
