BREAKING: Gov Mutfwang declares 24-hour curfew in Mangu LGA over Assembly crisis

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has announced a 24-hour curfew in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State due to deteriorating security situations.
Gyang Bere, the Governor’s spokeswoman, indicated in a statement that the move was made to avert a breakdown in law and order in the local government after negotiations with security services.
He advised citizens to follow the sit-at-home policy, with the exception of those who need to travel within the local government region for urgent reasons.
The Governor decried the fact that, despite government efforts to limit terrorist elements’ activities, certain individuals continue to sow seeds of fear throughout the state.
He stated that the curfew will be lifted as soon as security conditions improve.
