Tension as gunmen abduct school pupils in Ekiti

Unidentified gunmen allegedly kidnapped an unknown number of students in Emure Local Government of Ekiti State yesterday evening.
Although many things remain unanswered, it was determined that the stolen children were purportedly students at an unidentified school.
It was discovered that the pupils were being transported on their school bus at the Eporo-Ekiti border when the event occurred.
The number of students in the kidnappers’ cave is currently unknown, and the authorities have yet to confirm the occurrence.
The incident occurred after the state’s two traditional rulers, the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola, were assassinated in an ambush by armed men while coming from a conference. The third traditional ruler, the Alara of Ara-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba, evaded the attack.
Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti state, denounced the heinous conduct and instructed security personnel in the state to find the assassins of the two traditional rulers. He also assured the state’s people that the government will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the situation.
