BREAKING: Ned Nwoko’s abducted aide, Chris Agidy killed in kidnappers den

Barrister Chris Agidy, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to Delta North Lawmaker Senator Ned Nwoko, who was kidnapped by bandits in 2023, has been killed.

SP Josephine Adeh, the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, verified this to the Daily Post on Tuesday.

Remember that in November 2023, gunmen kidnapped at least 19 people from their houses in the Galadimawa neighborhood of the nation’s capital.

A previous story stated that 12 of the abductees were slain.

However, the identities of the deceased were unknown while the congressman and security personnel resumed their efforts to save the lawyer.

The FCT PPRO confirmed the assassination on Tuesday, stating that the lawmaker’s aide was killed by Samaila Wakili, one of the most sought kidnappers plaguing the country’s capital.

Police apprehended Wakili on February 24 in the Sardauna Forest, Toto, Nasarawa State.

According to the FCT PPRO, after being arrested, the suspect “led police operatives to where Barr. Chris Agidy’s remains are.”

She went on to say that “the remains was recovered and deposited in Gwagwalada General Hospital”
