Controller, FCT Command, Federal Fire Service decorates newly promoted officers
Controller, FCT Command of the Federal Fire, Controller JD Dadu on Thursday decorated 90 promoted Officers of the Command at the headquarters of the Command, Kubwa, Abuja.
On the 16th June 2023 the Controller General, Engr. Jaji O. Abdulganiyu, MIFire.E.,MNSE had decorated promoted Chief Superintendents of Fire (CSF) at the Service headquarters. 5 out of the decorated CSFs are of the FCT Command.
95 Officer of FCT Command of the Federal Fire Service are among Officers who benefited from the 2022 promotion released by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, Immigration Board (CDCFIB).
Controller JD Dadu who took a queue from the Controller General decorated the remaining 90 officers, 37 Superintendents of Fire (SF), 24 Deputy Superintendents of Fire (DSF) 6 Assistant Superintendents of Fire I (ASF I) and 23 Assistant Superintendents of Fire II (ASF II) in the Command.
Dadu, while speaking at the ceremony, commended the efforts of the Secretary and Commissioners at the CDCFI Board for making the promotion possible.
He also used the opportunity to appreciate his boss, the Controller General, Federal Fire Service, for working assiduously in ensuring that this number of officers benefited from the 2022 promotion.
The Controller went further to state that almost 50% of the promoted officers in the entire Service are from the FCT Command. He therefore charged the newly decorated officers to consider this elevation as a privilege and to be ready to give more while discharging their responsibilities bearing in mind that ‘to whom much is given, much is expected”.
Controller Dadu also informed the promoted officers to be ready for new responsibilities as this promotion will bring about redeployment.
The colourful event had in attendance, the 2ic FCT Command, Station Commanders from the various Fire Stations in the FCT, Command Instructors as well as family members of promoted officers.
