Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, has denied reports making the rounds that there will be an upward review of electricity tariff from July 1.
A statement, purportedly from the AEDC management on Sunday had claimed that “Effective July 1, 2023, please be informed that there will be an upward review to the electricity tariff influenced by the fluctuating exchange rate.”

But the power distribution company said the state is false.
In a notice to customers, signed by the management, the company urged Nigerians to disregard the reports, saying no approval for such increment has been received.
