National University Commission (NUC), has approval the establishment of Kogi State University, Kabba, Kogi West senatorial zone.
The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Abdulrsheed, made the approval on Monday.
The governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, had led others members of his team to the NUC office in Abuja to submit relevant documents for the new state university.

With the latest approval, Kogi state now has three universities.
The other three are Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba and Confluence University of Science and Technology.
