Fuji singer KWAM 1 gets chieftaincy title at Ojude Oba festival

At the recently concluded Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, popular Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal more commonly known by his stage name, KWAM 1 De Ultimate was given the chieftaincy title of “Olori Omo Oba.”

The Late Chief Subomi Balogun, founder of the First City Monument Bank, who passed away on May 18, 2023, was the last person to hold the position.

The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, a distinguished Oba in Yorubaland, gave the title to the Fuji musician.

Wasiu Ayinde has remained one of the most well-known artists from Nigeria, both domestically and internationally. Many fans of Fuji music view him as the successor of the late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.

Social media users have congratulated KWAM 1 in their posts. They included his wife, Emmanuella, who while being away on the Hajj pilgrimage, continued to wish her husband well.

She wrote:
