Ministerial Slot: Abia APC sends message to President Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State has advised President Bola Tinubu the issues of selecting individuals to serve as members of the Federal Executive Council, which has not yet been formed.
The state party’s leadership counseled the president against appointing party members who lacked the necessary electoral values and support.
The party also instructed Tinubu to select an Abia heir with the necessary capability, aptitude, and competence to help the government carry out its many agendas to foster growth in all important areas.
The APC’s State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Offor Okorie, revealed the party’s stance in a statement he released over the weekend.
He said: “Anybody that President Bola Tinubu will give the minister representing Abia state should be a person who has electoral value and followership.
“The President should nominate an Abian loved by the masses and has the capacity to win elections for the All Progressives Congress.
“He must equally ensure he chooses an Abia indigene who has the charisma and capacity, team spirit to bring together all warring factions in the Abia chapter of the APC as a united family”.
