Platinum Times can confirm that the price of gasoline has increased to approximately N620 per litre.
According to a Daily Trust reporter who visited a NNPC filling station in Abuja’s Central neighborhood, it was made known that the fuel price had been changed from N539 to N620 per litre.
Another customer just stated, “It is true, I just bought at N620 per liter,” while confirming this news to Platinum Times.
The immediate cause could not be identified, but it is likely related to recent predictions by oil marketers that the price of gasoline will soon reach N700 a litre.
As of the time this report was filled up, the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) has not responded to the Daily Trust’s inquiry.
