Shehu Sani advises Davido on trending offensive video
Davido has been instructed to remove his latest contentious video tweet by Senator Shehu Sani, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
After tweeting a contentious video of his signee, Logos Olori’s new track, “Jaye Lo,” on his Twitter account on Saturday, the singer came under fire.
Davido had been given a 24-hour deadline to remove the tweet by a number of Muslims.
The artist appears to have disregarded the criticism, though, as the video with some delicate Islamic subject is still available on his page.
Sani, a former politician, reacted by giving advise to the singer on Twitter on Sunday.
He thinks Davido should have removed the tweet’s content because it became contentious and offended his fans.
He wrote: “As an artist or entertainer, if your fans feel offended by a piece or portion of your work, especially as it concerns their culture, faith, or religious beliefs, it will be most honourable for you to delete or edit that portion, apologise to them, and move on. I’m here talking about Davido. This is my own opinion.”
