Ganduje moves to reconcile Hope Uzodinma and Okorocha, meets Shettima in Aso Rock

On Thursday, Imo Governor Hope Uzodinma and a former governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

In the absence of the President due to tight schedule and other meeting, the duo mate with the VP Kashim Shettima.

Political rivals Uzodimma and Okorocha were seen arriving at the Villa at 6:07 p.m. with Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

However, the trio emerged with the Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in less than five minutes.

However, it was learned that before they arrived, the President had already departed the office.

Additionally, Ganduje, Uzodimma, and Okorocha visited Kashim Shettima, the vice president’s office.

According to a presidential source, Ganduje may bring Governor Sanwo-Olu, Uzodimma, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, and his estranged party member Okorocha to the White House.

Although the meeting’s agenda was not made public at the time this article was filed, it might have something to do with the conflict between Uzodimma and Okorocha, who served as governor of Imo from 2011 to 2019.

Okorocha and some of his political supporters have lately been charged by the Committee on Recovery of Public Property established by the Imo State Government.
