CBN refutes claim of placing new policy actions on Forex

The Central Bank of Nigeria has refuted rumors that it will be implementing new foreign exchange market policy.
This was announced by the CBN Thursday night on its official X account, which was formerly its Twitter handle.
The alleged press release from February 20th, 2017, according to the apex bank, should be ignored.
“We would like to bring to your attention that the attached images currently circulating on social media are from an old Press Release dated 20th February, 2017, and should be disregarded”, CBN wrote.
Platinum Times recalls that the CBN floated the Naira in the foreign exchange market in June.
