Abducted NSUK students regains freedom

Four Nasarawa State University students who were abducted on Monday night have been released.
After BCGat at around 10:30 p.m., Rahila Hanya (SLT 100 level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100 level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100 level), and Goodness Samuel (Geography 100 level) were kidnapped from their off-campus apartment next to Angwan Kare.
The students, according to information provided to Platinum Times, are now in the Keffi headquarters of the 177 Guards Battalion after being freed.
The release of the student was confirmed by Muhammed Sakilu Muhammed, Secretary General of the Nasarawa State Youths Forum for Advocacy, in a statement made available to Platinum Times.
He said:
“We are pleased to inform you that the four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), who were kidnapped have been reportedly released today. This development follows the payment of an undisclosed ransom.”
