Adekunle Omoaje retains position as Action Alliance National Chairman
Adekunle Rufai Omoaje has been re-elected as the national chairman of the Action Alliance (AA).
The election of Omoaje took place at the party’s elective convention, which took place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State, according to a statement released in Kaduna on Saturday by the national publicity secretary, Olu Omotosho.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) personnel and security agencies both watched the election, the statement claims.
The statement lists Alhaji Ibrahim Yisah as the Deputy National Chairman, Prince (Dr) Awolola Awofala as the National Financial Secretary, comrade Olu Omotosho as the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeyemo as the National Youth Leader, Barr. Abiodun Rufai as the National Legal Adviser, and Mrs. Aisha Abdulahi as the National Women Leader among those elected at the convention.
Oladele Sunday, the chairman of the electoral committee, stated in his speech that the party selects option A4 as a way to pick its leaders in order to demonstrate transparency.
He stated:
“The process that produced all the leaders was free and fair, and the election was transparent, with the most palatable candidates emerging at the end.”
Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, the party’s national chairman, assured of effective leadership and promised to lead the group to the promised land in his acceptance address.
He declared that the party would keep helping Nigerians and offer capable leadership that would lead the country to its desired destination.
