Unknown suspected armed robber was killed by an angry mob while attempting to rob an Olugboso home in Agege district of Lagos State.
The state police public relations officer PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who on Sunday confirmed the occurrence, mentioned that it happened last week.
According to reports, the suspect who broke into a resident’s apartment and went by the name Victor was apprehended by the crowd while brandishing a toy gun to frighten his victims.
The suspect’s body has been placed in the mortuary, according to the Lagos PPRO, which confirmed the development. Victor, who got into a battle with the suspect, is responding well to treatment in a hospital.
He said,
“The incident happened. A pair of scissors and a toy gun were found on the suspect. The corpse has been deposited in the morgue.
“The victim was taken to the hospital and he is responding to treatment. Investigation is ongoing”.
