On Thursday, residents of Goningora in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area barricaded the Abuja-Kaduna highway in response to an armed bandit attack on their community.
Platinum Times said that the ruthless bandits invaded the town on Wednesday night, killing at least two people and kidnapping seven others.
Residents protested the development on Thursday morning, obstructing the important Abuja-Kaduna route.

According to Platinum Times, the latest attack on the Goningora hamlet occurred just seven days after military killed a prominent bandit kingpin, Boderi Isyaku, and some of his fighters in the same Chikun Local Government Area.
