APC will sweep all bye elections: Ganduje
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has guaranteed the party that it will win all upcoming byelections.
He was in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, alongside Governor and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma, to rally support for the APC candidate in the state’s senate bye poll on February 3.
The host Governor, Mai Mala Buni, the Minister of Police Affairs, Sen Ibrahim Gaidam, and the President of the 9th Senate, Dr Ahmed Lawan, all accompanied the National Chairman at the campaign launch on August 27 at Damaturu Stadium.
Addressing the large crowd, Ganduje told them that the APC National Working Committee will do everything possible to ensure the success of its Yobe candidate, Musa Mustapha alias Coolas, as well as all other candidates in the bye elections.
The Nation reports that Musa Mustapha was just nominated as the party’s flag bearer.
If he wins, he will succeed his son-in-law, Senator Ibrahim Geidam, who has been named Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The National Party Chairman thanked the people of Yobe State for their persistent support for his party.
He asked them to repeat history by voting in large numbers for the APC and their candidate in the next elections.
Uzodimma claimed he went in Yobe State to support Governor Mai Mala Buni’s efforts to grow the party.
Buni urged the people of Yobe Zone A to vote for the correct candidate.
