Bandits’ informant nabbed with stolen cow in Kaduna market
Vigilantes nabbed a suspected bandits’ informant, simply known as Dan Abba, with a stolen cow in Bishini village market in Kachia LGA, Kaduna State.
Ahmadu Sajo, a resident of Azzara in Bishini village, claimed the event occurred last Thursday when the suspect brought a stolen cow to sell at the market.
Sajo claimed the suspect was one of the bandits’ informants accused of providing information to the bandits who recently abducted herders and rustled their cows in Kuchimi, Haying-Dam, and the Gidan-Makeri district of Kagarko town.
He added military in the area had declared the suspect, along with other fleeing suspects, sought until last Thursday, when his luck ran out and he was apprehended with a stolen cow in the village market.
The local stated that the suspect, along with the stolen cow, had been handed over to military, and that vigilantes were attempting to track down the location of some of the stolen cows.
He said: “The vigilantes suspected that the cow the suspect brought to the market might be among those cows that were stolen two weeks ago at a village in Kagarko LGA,” he went on to say.
SP Hassan Mansur, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, did not answer calls or respond to text messages about the suspect’s arrest when the complaint was filed.
