President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently announced the portfolios for the 46 confirmed ministerial nominations, and Better Edu, a former APC National Women Leader, has been named the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
The Minister of Solid Minerals Development position is also filled by Dele Alake, according to the list that was made public on Wednesday evening, August 16, 2023.
Wale Edun, who oversees finances and the economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, who oversees transportation, David Umahi, who oversees construction, Festus Keyamo, who oversees aviation and aerospace development, and Betta Edu, who oversees humanitarian aid and poverty alleviation, are the other ministers.

Politician from Nigeria named Betta C. Edu. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and serves as the National Chairman of the Nigeria Health Commissioners Forum in addition to being the State Commissioner for Health for Cross River.
Betta is a participant in both the All-Progressives Congress (APC) Reconciliation Committee and the Presidential Health Reform Committee.
She is well known for being one of Nigeria’s youngest politicians.
