Breaking: Police storm protest venue whisk away NLC President Joe Ajaero in Imo
The President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero has been whisked away by the Police in Owerri, Imo State capital.
The development followed an ongoing protest by members of the union in the state.
It was gathered that the protest was hijacked by miscreants, who smashed vehicles and inflicted wounds on labour members.

This came about as a result of continuous state-wide protests by union members.
There were reports that miscreants had taken over the protest, smashing cars and hurting laborers.
According to Platinum Times, the union said on Sunday that members would hold a protest in IMO.
