The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Tribunal dismissed the case submitted by Abdullahi Maidoya, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship candidate in the 2023 general election, on Monday.
It should be noted that Maidoya had taken Governor Abdullahi Sule to court following the proclamation of Abdullahi Sule as the victor of the state’s governorship election on March 18, 2023.
“The petition lacks merit and is hereby dismissed,” stated the three-member bench led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi.
According to him, the petitioner failed to establish his case beyond a reasonable doubt for alleged overvoting and voting disruption, among other things.
