The Delta State Governorship Election appeal Tribunal dismissed the appeal brought before it by the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, challenging the election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwor, on Friday for lack of merit.
In its decision, the three-member tribunal panel led by Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu upheld Oborevwori’s victory in the state’s governor election on March 18, 2023.
The panel ruled that the petitioners had failed to establish beyond a reasonable doubt charges of Electoral Act violations and corrupt activities.
