British Govt opens visa center in Enugu

The Enugu State Government commended the UK government for opening a visa center there to expedite applications for residents of the state and the surrounding South-east region.
This was said in a statement made on Monday in Enugu by Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The statement claims that Governor Peter Mbah requested the opening of the visa center when the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, visited Government House in Enugu in June.
According to the statement, the government was delighted and satisfied to learn about the visa center, and it emphasized how it would strengthen the economic ties and cross-cultural interactions between Enugu State and the UK.
“The Enugu State Government looks forward to a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the UK, as the visa centre would help cement the relationship.
“The government calls on the people, especially those residing in the South-east, to avail themselves of the opportunity provided to file their visa applications in the state,” the statement said.
It also stated that the state would increase security for both citizens and visitors conducting business there.
It was emphasized once more that the state was welcoming of investments and enterprise.
