CAC publish names of Companies to be deregistered (full list)

A list of businesses that did not adhere to the requirements outlined in the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 has been made public by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
On the website of the Commission, the names of the companies that will be delisted are available. Companies and the general public have been asked by the commission to visit the website for listings of the affected companies.
There are a total of 94,581 businesses on the list, the majority of which are Limited Liability Companies formed between 1976 and 1991.
The whole list of these businesses, dubbed “Strike off List-Batch-001 July-2023,” discloses businesses that haven’t filed yearly returns as required by law in the previous ten years.
The concerned companies should be aware, according to the commission, that any business that does not take the necessary steps to file its annual returns as of the due date within 90 days after the publication on the Commission’s website will have its name stricken from the Register.
The commission informed the general public that any company that has been removed from the Register is not permitted to conduct business until it has been reinstated by a Federal High Court order.
