Consider unity rather than diversity, CAN urges Nigerians
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger has urged Nigerians to focus on what brings the country together rather than what divides it.
This was stated by Rev Bulus Yohanna, Chairman of CAN in Niger State, at the 63rd Independence Day prayer session hosted by the state chapter of CAN in Minna.
Yohanna in his message tagged:
“Let us focus on what unites us more as a people,” advocated the need for Nigerians to live as an indivisible entity where peace, justice, equity and fairness abound.
“As we pray and intercede for our nation today and always, I advocate the need for us to reflect more on what unites us as a people rather than what divides us.
“The oneness of Nigeria remains more advantageous despite the challenges we are facing as a nation,” he said.
He also urged Nigerians to be supportive of nation-building efforts, either individually or collectively, in order to take the country ahead.
According to him, we must promote togetherness, regardless of our political, religious, or ethnic divides, and rally around Gov. Umar Bago, who has so far demonstrated devotion and tenacity in remaking the state.
He urged the governor to continue steadfast in ensuring citizens experienced extraordinary transformation, particularly in the areas of life and property protection, as well as the state economy.
