Cult clash: Ogun govt. lift curfew after two week in Sagamu

The Ogun State government has lifted the curfew placed on Sagamu town following last month’s deadly fighting between rival cult groups.
According to Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the State Government, the decision to lift the curfew was influenced by the improved security situation in the problematic area.
Normalcy has returned to the town, according to the SSG, as security agents continue to investigate the remote and proximate causes of the cult confrontations, adding that Governor Dapo Abiodun is determined to ridding the state of all forms of violence.
Despite the lifting of the curfew, Talabi urged the inhabitants of Sagamu to go about their regular business without fear. As an urgent response to the cult confrontations, the limitation of human and vehicular movement from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. was implemented last month.
