Deji Adeyanju warns Nigeria against involvement in Niger invasion
Political commentator Deji Adeyanju has encouraged the Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS, to act swiftly and forcefully against the Niger Republic.
Adeyanju said that if ECOWAS does not move swiftly and forcefully against the Niger Republic, Russia may launch a coup in Nigeria.
He urged the west to let Africa deal with its problems on its own.
Adeyanju stated in a tweet: “Russia will attempt a coup in Nigeria very soon; thus, the ECOWAS response to the coup in Niger must be immediate and decisive. Africa should be given the freedom to run its own affairs.
“The idea of having new colonial masters in the 21st century is not only disgusting but annoying.”
There are reports of ECOWAS mobilising to invade the Niger Republic following the ousting of President Bazoum by coup plotters.
