Economic Hardship: We feel your pains – FG tell Nigerians

The federal government has asserted once more that the Tinubu administration is fully aware of the economic hardships that Nigerians have suffered since the elimination of the fuel subsidy, as well as the impact of the global economic slump.

SGF, George Akume, stated this at a World Press Conference in Abuja on Monday to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd year of independence.

According to Akume, the administration is working hard to offer the required palliatives to minimize the issues.

He stated that the government was working with the Organized Labour to address issues concerning the well-being of all Nigerian workers.

“It is for this reason that this government is anchoring on the Renewed Hope Agenda, which will improve food security; guarantee end to poverty; improve security; economic growth and job creation; access to capital; improve the playing field on which people and particularly companies operate; respect for the rule of law; and fight against corruption,” he said.

He added that the President has given the approval for this 63rd independence anniversary to be low-key in line with the present economic realities.
