Ekiti begins employment of medical workers into specialist, general hospitals
The Ekiti State Hospitals Management Board has begun the process of recruiting medical doctors for the state’s health institutions.
The move is sequel to the approval given by Governor Biodun Oyebanji to the board to fill existing vacancies in the Ekiti State general and specialist hospitals.
A statement made available to newsmen from the office of the Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Hospitals’ Management Board in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, said interested applicants must possess relevant medical certificates such as MBBS, a recent practising licence, a certificate of full registration and a discharge certificate or exemption letter from the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC.
The statement advised interested applicants with prerequisite qualifications to obtain their application forms at the Ekiti State Hospitals’ Management Board, located in Similoluwa area, Ado Ekiti, between Monday, March 25, and Friday, April 5, 2024.
This Media recalls that a few months ago, Governor Biodun Oyebanji had increased the salary of all health workers in the state via the implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale, CONMESS, the Consolidated Health Salary Scale, CONHESS, and the payment of a 100 per cent hazard allowance for medical doctors and other health workers.
These gestures, among others, by the Ekiti government, have made the salaries of medical doctors and other health workers in the state competitive and comparable with those of their peers working in federal health establishments.
